UV Coating is a premium finish for your printed materials that can be used on business cards, direct-mail postcards, catalog covers, posters, flyers, sales sheets and other marketing tools. It gives your printed pieces a polished, refined look that lasts longer and increases the quality of your brand.

UV coating provides a durable, scratch-resistant layer that prevents fading and tarnishing on paper. It also resists smudges and fingerprints that may detract from the design, making your products easier to spot and pass along.

Aside from helping your print marketing tools look great and last longer, uv coating also helps them stretch their marketing dollars by preventing abrasions, scratches, rubbing, and ink smudging. This is especially important when your printing and packaging products travel from place to place or are shuffled into the hands of prospects as direct-mailers.

Using an aqueous or 100% solids UV coating is a good choice for your printing and finishing needs because they offer clean air, no solvent emissions, zero VOCs, no alcohol, low odor, and non-flammability. They are environmentally friendly and are EPA-designated as "Best Available Control Technology" (BACT), which can save energy costs, reduce your carbon footprint, lower VOCs and hazardous air pollutants, and reduce permitting requirements.

The process for applying uv coating to printed materials uses special drying (curing) equipment that primarily supplies medium pressure mercury arc lamps or LED sources to cure the coating at a proper line speed. This equipment is typically accompanied by a millijoule monitor to measure the amount of output produced for optimal cure.

Give your craft projects and artwork a protective, longer lasting clear finish that will protect from damaging UV light rays. This smudge-proof, moisture resistant spray coating is perfect for paper, wood, photography, plaster, glass, ceramic, dried silk flowers and all other types of display materials! Dry to touch in 10-15 minutes and dry to handle within 5 hours.

UV Resistant Clear coat Acrylic Coating provides a permanent, protective clear gloss that will protect against damaging UV light rays. This non-yellowing, moisture resistant and smudge-proof aerosol spray coating is great for paper, wood, photography, plaster, and glass.

This spray can is available in a 11 oz aerosol can and is a great way to add an extra layer of protection for your artwork, photos or any other projects you want to keep looking their best. The glossy finish will prevent fading and will not yellow with age, making it the ideal choice for a wide range of applications.

UV Resisted Clearcoat is a tough, archival-quality final coat that enhances the contrast and clarity of ink colors, improves artwork and photographs. It is recommended for paperback books, brochures and other printed pieces that will be handled frequently and need a tough, scratch-resistant coating to maintain their bright, crisp appearance.

A uv clear coat protects the surface of your product from damaging UV radiation. It also gives a premium look to your product, which is great for marketing and instilling confidence with customers.

There are three main types of uv coatings: 100 percent solids, dual cure, and water-based. Each type of uv coat has its advantages and disadvantages, but the best choice will depend on your needs.

One advantage of a 100 percent solids uv coating is that it doesn't have to be applied with mechanical application equipment. Rather, it can be sprayed in airless guns, air-assist guns, or vertical rotary bell atomizing spray systems.

Another major benefit is that you can control the thickness of your uv clear coat. It's important to build up a thick enough film to allow the clearcoat to absorb the UV radiation and protect your product.

If the uv coating is too thin, it won't absorb the UV radiation and will have an orange appearance, according to PPG coatings chemist Jack Dickens. He advised Thursday at SEMA that a clearcoat must have 2 mils or more in thickness to be effective.

Moreover, most conventionally cured clearcoat overlays are not flexible enough to conform to the substrates they are overlaid upon. This is due to cured resin shrinkage and the high doses of UV light needed to cure them.
